Dr. Kellie Shamrell opened her veterinary practice in 2014 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 2011. Before that, she completed her undergraduate degree in Zoology at Northern Arizona University. With professional interests in dentistry, wellness and preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and advanced ultrasound, Dr. Shamrell is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of her patients. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and finds great satisfaction in seeing her patients thrive under her care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Shamrell’s life is full of animals—she owns an impressive collection that includes five quarter horses, six dogs, a cat, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and leopard geckos. When she’s not working, she enjoys training and competing in reined cow horse events and volunteering for organizations like the Verde Valley Fair, 4H, and FFA. She is also a member of the National Reined Cow Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Dr. Shamrell’s passion for animal health and community involvement defines her approach to both life and veterinary care.
